Here is a small bit of video from the election night celebrations that I saw in Seattle.

These coast guard boats sometimes escort the ferry away from the dock in Seattle. They even have announcements on the ferry telling people not to worry that the whole thing is just a safety precaution.

Tonight I went to see a Chinese silent film at SIFF that was originally released in 1929. It had live musical accompaniment by Devil Music Ensemble. My friend Jon Gitelson had posted about it on his blog before their show in Chicago, one of his buddies is in the ensemble.
I remember seeing a couple Buster Keaton films with live accompaniment, it adds something to the experience. Makes it more social somehow, the audience seems more connected. The moving image isn't just being witnessed, it is being celebrated.

I wish I could give credit to whoever designed this, it sort of fell in my lap without knowing anything about it. Clicking the image will bring you to a 4-up version for printing on stickers or whatever you like.
